About this site

This site is primarily a showcase for the writings of Kathleen Roxby, Margaret Roxby and Robert (Bob) Roxby. However, it has two once/month features which are intended to inspire other writers in their writing. Responses to these challenges may in future be displayed on the site (See “Splintered Glass” and “Another Spectrum” below).

The feature Through the Looking Glass will feature the work of Kathleen. “Through the Looking Glass” will be updated every week.

Glass Rain takes its name from the title of a collection of Margaret’s poems, Glass Rain, Golden Rain. “Glass Rain’ will display new material each week.

Kaleidoscope is a blog feature and will touch on a wide range of topics, with many focusing on the oddities of the English language. The blogs will be the work of Kathleen. A new blog will appear each week when “Refractions” is not highlighted for that week.

Refractions is primarily intended for memoir material related to all three of the main authors listed above. “Refractions” will alternate with “Kaleidoscope” on an unscheduled basis.

Shadows will display notes concerning the selections featured each week, such as, where they were published or what was the author’s inspiration for the work.

Splintered Glass will be updated only once/month. It is dedicated to providing ideas for other writers to use as prompts or triggers for their own work.

Another Spectrum  displays Submission Guidelines for publication of writing submitted by readers of this site. One reader’s accepted work will appear under this heading on the last week of the month.
